After a year absence, the Alberta Junior Hockey League will be bringing back their North and South divisions.
The return of the two divisions will mean the Grande Prairie Storm will be in the North Division along with Whitecourt, Fort McMurray, Bonnyville, Lloydminster and the league’s new expansion team, the Devon Xtreme.
The South division will consist of Drayton Valley, Camrose, Olds, Drumheller, Calgary and Canmore.
The AJHL made the switch last year in hopes of a more balanced schedule. There were supposed to be 62 games but following the departures of Brooks, Okotoks, Blackfalds, Sherwood Park and Spruce Grove leaving for the BCHL, the changes led to only 57 games.
