Two dogs that attacked five people earlier in May have been euthanized according to the city.
On May 9 , 2024 two pit bulls bit three and adults, along with two teens in cities west end.
Four of the five victims were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The dogs were taken by Animal Care and Control.
As per a city email, the dogs were handed over by the the owners and the canines were humanely euthanized.
Infractions were issued to the owners including dog attack causing injury, failure to control or leash a dog, and no dog licence with six offences in total.
On the day of the attack a 57-year-old man was charged for allegedly assaulting one of the teens who was trying to defend himself.
The man wasn’t owner of the dogs but was caring for them at the time.
