Edmonton Police have confirmed that two individuals, a man and a woman, have been arrested in connection with the death of a 65-year-old man in northeast Edmonton on Saturday evening.
According to a news release from the Edmonton Police Service, officers responded to a call around 7:30 pm on May 11th regarding a suspicious death at a residence near 135 Avenue and 68 Street. The man and woman who were present at the scene contacted homicide detectives upon discovering the deceased individual inside the home.
Upon their arrival, authorities found the body of the deceased man in the residence. However, the police did not specify whether the man and woman inside the home were considered suspects, persons of interest, or witnesses.
Following an investigation by homicide detectives, the circumstances surrounding the man’s death were deemed suspicious, leading to the arrest of the man and woman who were present at the scene.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday to determine further details regarding the incident.
