Two pit bulls attacked a total of five individuals in west Edmonton Thursday afternoon near 157 Street and 89 Avenue.
At approximately 3:15 p.m. the dogs were reported running loose in the area when three adults and two teens were bitten, according to police.
According to a nearby resident, the dogs chased two youths into the back of a pickup truck parked on the street and then bit her on the leg when she tried to calm the dogs down.
The dogs then attacked another couple walking in the area, according to witnesses.
With the exception of one adult, all victims were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The dogs were seized by City bylaw officials according to police.
An inquiry was sent to bylaw , with no word on an update.
