With an increased risk of wildfires due to dry conditions and high risks, the Beaver Lake Fire Department expresses their concerns for the potential wildfires within their community.
Shane Bair, Fire Chief of the Beaver Lake Fire Department says he is concerned about the community, and adds that they don’t have the many power to deal with a wide spread evacuation within the Nation.

Bair says that his department is praying for a month long of rain fall to aid in the dry season, adding that it may not be in the cards for this years wildfire season.
Bair speaks on the new measurements that have been implemented to provide a faster response time from outside help by the Lac La Biche Fire Department to finding the home within the widespread community of Beaver Lake.

Bair says residents in Beaver Lake need to conduct smart practices to prevent wildfires within the community, with maintained fire pits, mowed lawns, and not throwing cigarettes out.
