A worker in south east Edmonton was killed on the job Monday afternoon.
At approximately 4:15 p.m Monday, EMS were called to Rylex Machinery and Supply Ltd. and declared the worker deceased on scene.
According to a government spokesperson, the worker dies “after being entangled in machinery.”
The company is currently undergoing a thorough investigation of the incident through an internal process and also actively cooperating with Occupational Health and Safety during their investigative process.
Rylex Machine & Supply Ltd. is a custom manufacturer of Flanges and Fittings for the oil and gas industry.
The identity of the victim is currently unknown.
