Crews arrested who they believe to be the suspect involved in the fatal hit-and-run south of Edmonton in Beaumont.
RCMP were trying to stop a U-Haul truck that allegedly rammed a police vehicle Saturday night. Crews laid a spike belt out on the road in an attempt to stop the U-Haul.
45 year old Kassandra Gartner drove over the spike belt and was later ran over by the U-Haul driver after stepping out of her vehicle.
The suspect driver also hit another vehicle, the man inside suffered serious but non life threatening injuries.
RCMP later arrested the suspect near Wainrwight Wednesday morning.
Crews will release more information when able.
