Tristan Patrick Kayne Grey of Whitefish First Nation has been convicted of second-degree murder in the 2023 killing of a woman in Atikameg.
Grey was found guilty in Peace River Court of King’s Bench on October 2nd.
The charge stemmed from the death of 56-year-old Beatrice Laboucan on April 27, 2023.
High Prairie RCMP were called to a residence in Atikameg after receiving a report of an assault. Officers discovered Laboucan deceased at the scene and took a suspect into custody at the same address.
Grey is due back in Peace River court on October 26.
