Heritage Village will provide a fitting backdrop for an evening of eerie storytelling during the return of the Folktales Tour at the Grande Prairie Museum on October 16 and 17. This after-dark walking tour invites guests to explore Heritage Village, where captivating stories come to life amidst its historic buildings.
Two tours will be offered each evening, starting at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Each tour lasts approximately one hour and 15 minutes and takes place outdoors, requiring guests to walk throughout Heritage Village.
This year’s Folktales Tour is presented in collaboration with Generations Readers Theatre, the Disturbing the Peace podcast, and the South Peace Regional Archives, creating a unique blend of local storytelling and history perfect for the Halloween season.
“Folktales is a chance to experience Heritage Village in a completely different way,” said City of Grande Prairie Mayor Jackie Clayton. “There is something special about gathering to share stories, and the historic setting makes this a memorable way to enjoy the Halloween season in Grande Prairie.”
