The Town of Stony Plain will host its Together for Reconciliation Gathering at Heritage Park on September 30. The gathering will feature live music from the Stirling John Band, food and other activities, bringing the community together to recognize National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Deanna Butz, Community Development Officer with the Town of Stony Plain spoke with CFWE, reflecting on what National Day for Truth and Reconciliation means to her and highlights what attendees can expect at Heritage Park on September 30th.
Butz speaks on the growth of the event that started in 2020, adding that is symbolizes the community interest in creating a space for conversations, reflection and reconciliation.
