Pumpkins & Planes is returning to the Fort McMurray International Airport on Saturday, October 24th. This event will once again bring Halloween activities to the terminal while raising funds for United Way Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo. The annual event will transform all three levels of the airport into a family-friendly Halloween experience.
Children will have the opportunity to collect treats and participate in games, activities, and contests. Families can also have Halloween photos taken for a donation, and there will be costume contests at the end of each one-hour.
“We love opening our doors to welcome the community to experience their airport in new ways, from our Community Aviation Event in August to families returning for Pumpkins & Planes this fall,” said Deenean Robinson, president and CEO of the Fort McMurray Airport Authority.
“These events create lasting memories, help children feel at home in their local airport, and provide us with another opportunity to support causes that matter to our region.”
A limited-capacity sensory-friendly time slot will be available from 11 a.m. to noon, offering reduced noise and additional space for families who may benefit from a calmer environment. Families are asked to arrive during the one-hour time slot indicated on their ticket.
