High Level RCMP have charged a 21-year-old northern Alberta man with first-degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting.
Jardin Cardinal, a resident of Child Lake First Nation, was arrested Saturday and faces the charge in the death of 48 year old Trevor Fournier.
In July 2023, Officers discovered Fournier deceased in his residence on the First Nation east of High Level.
An RCMP media release confirmed he died from a gunshot wound.
Cardinal remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in High Level provincial court on Thursday.
