A large load travelling at 30 km/h carrying a de-ethanizer will be traveling through Edmonton and Fort Saskatchewan starting Wednesday. A de-ethanizer is used in natural gas processing to separate ethane from heavier hydrocarbons.
This load is 7.7 meters wide, 10.5 meters high and 96.6 meters long and weighs 749,142 kilograms. The trailer carrying the unit contains 448 wheels.
The load leaves Edmonton at 11 p.m. from 9325 51 Ave NW following this route:
- 51 Avenue NW eastbound
- Roper Road NW eastbound
- 75 Street NW southbound
- Whitemud Drive NW eastbound counterflow
- Highway 216 southbound counterflow
- Highway 14 eastbound counterflow
- Highway 14 eastbound, ramp at Highway 21
- Stage on east side of Highway 21 (at 5 a.m.)
The load will not be travelling on Thursday, but starts it’s route again at 2 a.m. on Friday:
- Highway 14 eastbound
- Highway 834 northbound
- Highway 15 westbound
- Range Road 220 northbound
- West into side (DOW) (noon)
