As it’s time to start thinking about back to school shopping, it can be hard for a family trying to afford all the necessities with times being tough right now. But that’s why the Sober Homies Society and Healthy Aligned Living are teaming up to bring Edmonton families Fill For The Future on August 29th!
This event supports youth and families facing challenges such as mental health struggles, substance abuse, bullying, peer pressure and poverty. With support from Crystal Kids Youth Centre, YESS and Comets Crew – resources will be on site to make sure your kids are going into the school year with the things they need, their questions answered, and confidence!
They’re giving you a full afternoon at the Eastwood Community League with a free community BBQ, guest speakers, community resources and connections, plus a chance to get those back to school necessities with a backpack giveaway & school supplies!
Brooklin spoke with both Sara Bourgeois from Sober Homies Society and Rich Dre from Healthy Aligned Living, about why they wanted to partner together and why events like these are so important for families.
Whether you are a parent, youth, family member, service provider or community supporter, they invite you join them for this great event.
