The final attendance figures for the 2026 Calgary Stampede are in, with organizers announcing Monday morning that 1,411,954 guests walked through the gates during the event’s 10-day run.
The strong turnout capped off another successful edition of “The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.”
Sunday’s closing day alone welcomed 122,559 people to the grounds.
According to data released for the first half of the event, 70 per cent of attendees were from the Calgary area, 11 per cent from other parts of Alberta, 12 per cent from across Canada, and seven per cent from outside the country. That international contingent included two per cent from the United States and five per cent from other nations around the globe.
Visitors flocked to several signature events and venues throughout the Stampede. The Rangeland Derby and the rodeo competitions at GMC Stadium ranked among the most popular draws, delivering high-energy nightly entertainment. Other top attractions included:
- The Elbow River Camp
- The Coca-Cola Stage
- Big Four Roadhouse
- BMO Market
- Agriculture exhibits and western events presentations
These offerings combined world-class rodeo action, immersive cultural experiences, live music, shopping, and family-friendly programming that have become hallmarks of the Calgary Stampede.
With attendance figures now finalized, organizers will begin reviewing data and feedback as they look ahead to planning the 2027 edition.
