The Edmonton Riverhawks have unveiled a newly designed Indigenous logo ahead of their May 29 Indigenous Celebration home opener, spotlighting culture, community and connection through baseball.
Conrad Plews, artist of the Edmonton Riverhawks Indigenous logo spoke with CFWE on the blending of Indigenous culture featured within the logo showcasing the culture and inclusion of Cree syallabics.
Maddie Murdoch, Marketing and Gameday Director with the Edmonton Riverhawks highlights where fans can purchase merchandise featuring the new Indigenous design, with 20 percent of proceeds – including bids from the game-worn jersey auctions – will be in support of the Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society.
