Canadians lost over $704 million to fraud in 2025, with reported losses surpassing $2.4 billion since 2022. Investment scams, identity theft, and service frauds were the most reported, with investment scams alone accounting for $351 million in losses. Only 5% to 10% of cases are reported, indicating much higher true losses.
