Edmonton, Calgary and Prague will host hockey’s best-on-best in 2028.

The National Hockey League announced Monday morning that the two Alberta cities and the Czechia capital will host its World Cup of Hockey in February 2028.

Andrew Knack, Mayor of Edmonton, tells CFWE that he is excited for the Alberta capital to host the tournament semifinals and finals.

Robert Hayes, President and CEO of Calgary Sports and Entertainment, tells CFWE that they started the process to host the World Cup of Hockey about a year ago.
