High-speed action hits the ice Feb 28 and March 1 as the Lac La Biche Ice Festival returns. The two-day event promises thrilling races and plenty of winter fun for spectators of all ages.
Chenee Miller, Special Events Coordinator with the Lac La Biche County, tells CFWE this year’s weather has cooperated, allowing the event to take place on the frozen lake compared to previous years.
Miller adds that at the 44th annual event, attendees are encouraged to bring food or monetary donations in support of the local food bank.
To kick off the weekend, Miller says the Kim Mitchell concert at the Bold Centre will help kick off the weekend in a good way, that will feature Julian Austin and Plamondon local performer Ben Tredger.
