4th Annual High Prairie School Division Maskawatiswin Round Dance in Kinuso

It’s the 4th annual High Prairie School Division Maskawatisiwin Round Dance happening on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 11 pm at the Kinuso School Gymnasium.

There will be 15 lead singers, food, and more. The pipe ceremony will start at 4pm. Dinner will be served by 5pm.

CFWE talks with Indigenous Education Lead from High Prairie School Division (HPSD), Keith Laboucan about the importance of a round dance, “It showcases our culture, tradition and language as a community and connects us to who we are”.
