The University of Alberta ( U of A) is kicking off its Indigenous Celebration Week on campus, highlighting Indigenous culture, language and teachings through till January 29.
Kaylynn Goodrunning, Indigenous Reconciliation Lead with the U of A Students Union, tells CFWE she’s excited about to bring land-based learning to students, with hopes the celebration will foster community through art and culture.
Goodrunning highlights what attendees can expect during Indigenous Celebration Week, including a presentation by Dwayne Donald on “Walking in Wâhkôhtowin”, bannock on a stick, and hands-on workshops in beading and tufting, and more.
