The town of Innisfail and the RCMP will once again hit the streets on December 6th from 10 A.M – 3 P.M, setting up along 50th street between 48th and 49th Ave to collect food, toys and monetary donations.
Staff Sergeant Ian Ihme, Detachment Commander with in Innisfail, tells CFWE the 29th annual campaign is a great way to kick off the Christmas season.
Ihme notes that last year’s event raised over $16,500 for local charities, including the food bank and the Christmas Bureau, along with donations of food, clothing, and toys.
Ihme adds that the season of giving is all about the community coming together to support one another, even during challenging financial times.
