Job seekers in Lac La Biche will have the opportunities as the annual Job Fair returns to the Bold Centre on October 16th. Running from 10 A.M to 7 P.M., the event will feature up to 80 employers on-site, offering a chance to connect directly with hiring businesses across multiple industries.
Kathy Evans, Program Supervisor with Lakeland Employment Services, spoke with CFWE about organizing this year’s job fair, noting that 20 employers have already confirmed their attendance, with invitations sent out to a total of 80 businesses.
Evans highlights the importance of having employers on-site, saying the job fair plays a key role in connecting businesses directly with the community.
Amid the ongoing teachers’ strike, Evans is encouraging local students to attend the job fair to explore future opportunities and potential career paths.
