Paul Band
September 29th marks Orange Shirt Day! in the Paul Band community, it’s a day for remembrance, reflection, and recommitment to truth and reconciliation. The event held a powerful acknowledgment of the history and ongoing impacts of the residential school system on Indigenous peoples.
The Health Department continues to actively address the complex issue of intergenerational trauma. Their mission is to ensure comprehensive support for the community every step of the way.
In alignment with the spirit of reconciliation, the department is dedicated to delivering holistic care, supporting the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of all members.
CFWE spoke with Annie Bird, Health Director out in Paul Band, and she shares what Generational Impacts are and how they should shape the future.
