A 29 year old Calgary man has been sentenced to 30 months after a pickup truck crashed into a Fort McMurray Boston Pizza, killing an employee.
Roger Sierra was charged with criminal negligence causing death after he crashed his Ford F-350 into the restaurant in November 2024.
The 24 year old employee died in hospital.
2024 Court records say Sierra had a medical suspension that prohibited him from driving.
In Alberta, drivers can have their licence suspended if they have medical conditions that affect the safe operation of a vehicle.
