A major airline is creating a direct path between Fort McMurray and the nation’s capital, set to start later this year.
Porter Airlines is an Ontario-based company, and the third airline to offer regular flights from the Fort McMurray International Airport.
The flights begin November 17 and run every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The plane leaves Ottawa at 9:25 a.m. and arrives in Fort McMurray at 11:55 a.m. It then flies to Ottawa at 12:50 p.m. and arrives at 6:45 p.m.
