The mobile mammography trailer will be in Sucker Creek First Nation early September.
The mobile clinic is part of Primary Care Alberta’s Screen Test program. Cancer screening will be offered to women aged 45 to 74 years-old. According to health officials, those in this age group are most at risk for developing breast cancer, and the x-ray of the breast, known as a mammogram, is a proven way to catch it early on.
The mammography trailer will also be in Sturgeon Lake First Nation and Valleyview.
