Mounties in Wetaskiwin have charged an Edmonton woman after investigating suspected fentanyl trafficking.
Wetaskiwin RCMP say they executed a search warrant on August 14 at a property in Edmonton with the help of the Edmonton police tactical unit.
A search of the property resulted in the seizure of 68 grams of suspected fentanyl, three grams of suspected meth, 1.5 grams of suspected cocaine and nine grams of suspected psilocybin (a.k.a. magic mushrooms), as well as scales, sandwich bags and cash money.
A 40 year old woman now faces two counts of trafficking fentanyl, three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and one count of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
The Edmonton woman has a previous conviction for trafficking drugs. She was released for a future court date.
