Leduc hosting third annual Summer in the City

Leduc’s ‘Summer in the City’ returns on Saturday, July 26.

The free one-day event invites the community to come together and enjoy some summer fun. Local organizations and community groups will also be on hand to share what they do and how residents can get involved. Events get underway at 10 a.m. at Alexandra Park with face painting, a petting zoo and plenty more family-friendly activities.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Leduc Boat Club is offering free 45-minute rentals of canoes, kayaks and stand up paddle boards. Pre-registration is required.

At Noon, stop by the Leduc Recreation Centre for free drop-in arena and field activities.

There will also be a free barbeque at Harry Bienert Park from 2-4pm, with inflatables, face painting, and a foam party.
