A woman involved in a serious collision between a train and pedestrian in south Edmonton has passed away.
On Thursday, June 26, around 5:45 a.m. the Edmonton Police Service were called to a collision involving a CP Rail train and a pedestrian. It happened south of 51 Avenue between 99 Street and Gateway Boulevard.
The 33-year-old woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, and later passed away.
The Major Collision Investigations Section is investigating, and no charges have been laid at this time.
