The City of Grande Prairie will be cranking up the celebrations in Muskoseepi Park with Alberta’s own Aaron Goodvin headlining the celebrations on July 1.
With a dynamic stage presence and chart-topping hits such as Lonely Drum, 2018 CCMA Songwriter of the Year Aaron Goodvin brings serious star power to this year’s event. Born in Spirit River, he’s returning to the region to help his home community celebrate in a big way on the Canada Day stage.
Live music kicks off at the amphitheatre beginning at 3:30 p.m.
This year’s Canada Day lineup offers something for every musical taste, creating a vibrant atmosphere for both residents and visitors. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and enjoy an evening of live performances in the heart of Muskoseepi Park.
Muskoseepi Park will bustle with energy on Canada Day with lots of activities taking place, including:
·Canada Day parade in Grande Prairie’s City Centre.
·Free drop-in swimming at the Aquatera Outdoor Pool from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
·Free cookies (while supplies last), starting at 3:30 p.m., sponsored by Cenovus Energy.
·Live entertainment at the Amphitheatre from 3:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
·Carnival rides and games, sponsored by Paramount Resources Ltd.
·Kids zone with face painting and roaming entertainment, sponsored by Windsor Ford.
·Food trucks.
·Free transit with regular service operating from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and extended late night on-demand and accessible services between any stops in Grande Prairie from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
