The Mayerthorpe Healthcare Centre will be getting improvements to its parking lot, sidewalks and entrances due to work starting this week, according to Alberta Health Services. The project will unfold in multiple phases with the budget totaling $1 million dollars.
“The Healthcare Centre, including the emergency department, will remain open and accessible to the public throughout construction,” AHS said.
This summer will see asphalt resurfacing and concrete work around the facility, between the beginning of June and end of August, weather dependent.
AHS stated that the Mayerthorpe Healthcare Centre will remain open with all services available during the work. Traffic control staff will be at the facility to guide visitors to the proper entrances, and signs will be placed to further help with traffic, according to AHS.
“Alberta Health Services thanks the public and staff for their understanding and co-operation while this work is underway,” AHS stated.
