If you live in Grande Prairie, you may hear or see a large number of emergency vehicles in action on Thursday at Northwestern Polytechnic.
This is a scheduled training exercise and there is no actual emergency.
According to NWP. the community will see a wide range of Emergency services come together, actively engaged in realistic operations based on a training scenario. During the training event, residents may hear loud noises, see simulated casualties, and witness emergency responders conducting mock rescues and evacuations.
The scenario will be hosted in the parking lot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“This large-scale simulation is an invaluable opportunity for first responders, healthcare professionals, and Paramedic and Nursing students to refine their skills, strengthen teamwork, and enhance overall emergency preparedness”
