The family of a missing Indigenous woman is hoping a new RCMP billboard campaign in northwestern Alberta and a $10,000 reward will generate leads in a case that stretches back nearly six years.
Shae-Lynn McAllister of Horse Lake First Nation, was 20 years old when she disappeared from the Shell gas station in Fairview on the night of July 7, 2019. She had just finished work at the local A&W.
Despite the ongoing investigation conducted by the RCMP, Shae Lynn remains missing nearly three years later.
At the time of her disappearance, Shae Lynn was only 20-years-old and a mother of two young children.
According to RCMP, Shae Lynn left her place of employment on July 4, 2019, at 10:35 p.m., and she was last known to be at the Fairview Shell station the same night at 11:22 p.m. She has not been heard from since.
The mother of two is described by her family as a friendly, happy person with a smile that could light up the room.
RCMP are offering a $10,000 reward leading to information that helps investigators.
“Investigators believe there is someone out there who knows some information and they are hoping that the sign pushes them to come forth and speak to the police about it.”
