St. Paul RCMP launched a drug trafficking investigation at a residence in Saddle Lake Cree First Nation on October 3, 2024. After five months, they obtained a search warrant and, on March 19, 2025, executed it with the help of several RCMP units. The search led to the seizure of drugs, firearms, counterfeit currency, and various weapons.
Items seized included:

130 grams of methamphetamine

52 grams of cocaine

Over $2,000 in Canadian currency

A handgun, 3 rifles, and ammunition

Crossbows, knives, nunchucks, and more.
Darin Riel Moses, 44, of Saddle Lake Cree First Nation, was arrested and charged with drug trafficking, firearm offenses, and unauthorized possession of an identity document. He remains in custody and is set to appear in court on April 10, 2025.
