A 35-year-old Red Deer man was arrested on March 14 after allegedly driving dangerously and colliding with a snow bank in Slave Lake. At around 9 A.M., RCMP responded to the incident on Main Street, where they found a dark SUV that fled the scene, damaging a nearby business.
The Slave Lake Crime Reduction Team tracked the vehicle from a distance for safety. The suspect was eventually stopped on Highway 2 and was arrested without incident.
The man faces multiple charges, including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police, mischief over $5,000, operating a vehicle while prohibited, and failing to comply with a probation order.
He was released on a Release Order and will appear in court on April 9 in Slave Lake.
