A groundbreaking new exhibit celebrating Indigenous voices and culture has officially opened in the heart of Edmonton. UNCEDED: Voices of the Land is now welcoming visitors inside City Centre Mall until June 21, offering an immersive experience that highlights the rich histories, languages, and resilience of Indigenous Peoples. The exhibit showcases powerful storytelling, art, and multimedia installations, all fostering understanding and reconciliation.
Stan Olthuis, Creative Producer of UNCEDED: Voices of the Land shares his excitement with CFWE after a month of hard work bringing the exhibit to life. He says the showcase is presented in honor of Elder Douglas Cardinal, a contemporary master of architecture whose influence is woven throughout the exhibit.

The exhibit brings a sense of healing and fosters hope for a joyful future for First Nations people. It also offers an opportunity for non-Indigenous visitors to learn about ancient teachings and explore the architectural foundations of a space where all communities coexist harmoniously.
