Braving the cold for a cause, Edmonton firefighters are once again taking to the rooftop at Fire Hall 3 for their annual Rooftop Campout. The multi-day fundraiser supports Muscular Dystrophy Canada, with firefighters enduring the elements to raise awareness and donations for those living with neuromuscular disorders. The event which became a community staple, highlights the dedication of Edmonton’s first responders both on and off duty.
Mike Berg, an Edmonton Firefighter and one of the many members camping on the roof spoke with CFWE on this year’s benchmarks for fundraising with items earned for camping supplies, to raise 60,000 dollars.
