The world’s first Indigenous-led contemporary architecture exhibit makes its way to Edmonton for the grand opening of UNCEDED: Voices of the Land on March 8th at Edmonton City Centre and will run until June 21.
UNCEDED is a captivating audio-visual experience that immerses audiences in the works and perspectives of 18 Indigenous architects and designers from Turtle Island. Through their unique contributions, they offer an Indigenous vision for the future—one of harmony and renewal.
Lewis Cardinal, Co-lead of the UNCEDED Exhibit spoke with CFWE on what attendees can expect when they walk into the exhibit to see the work of 18 Indigenous architects on full display from across Turtle Island.

Cardinal says that the exhibit is a form of a relationship exercise and a learning opportunity for non-Indigenous people to about the cultural significance of building Indigenous architecture.

Cardinal adds that once attendees see whats on display within the exhibit, community members will see what Indigenous architecture can bring to the table within cities and communities.
