Edmonton’s longest winter festival returns to Laurier Park for the 2025 Silver Skate Festival. This 10-day family-oriented festival combines culture, art, education, sport, and recreation.
Erin Diloreto, Producer of the Silver Skate Festival spoke with CFWE on the 10-day event that kicks off with the International Snow Sculpture Symposium, with representation from Canada, the U.S.A, Ukraine, and Turkey, along with the event focusing on celebrating everything YEG.

On the weekend dates, the Heritage Village will see a performance by Chubby Cree, a Cree Syllabics teachings by ‘Auntie Cathy’, Abraham Lake singers will perform drum songs, and Fort Edmonton Park and the Water Warriors will be on site sharing winter stories.
