The Windspeaker Radio Network is looking for a Full-Time Indigenous Languages Coordinator/On air Host

The position will be based in Edmonton, and includes the following job duties:

Assist with developing and implementing a comprehensive language revitalization plan
Represent Windspeaker Media at Indigenous-led workshops and cultural events
Foster partnerships with local, regional and national organizations involved in Indigenous language preservation
Collect and document language materials, including oral histories and traditional knowledge – establish a data base
Apply for funding opportunities for community language/cultural programming
Assist with recruiting elders, knowledge keepers, or People of Interest for Voices of our People
Work with Sales and production to find suitable Indigenous languages for commercials or promos
Engaging with listeners on air and with social media posts, using Facebook, X, Instagram and TikTok
Host radio shows on 89.3 The Raven and on CFWE/CJWE as required.
Available for Remote Broadcasts and Station appearances with professional presentation
Travelling to events across Alberta, representing the Windspeaker Media Brand
Voice commercial production as required
Any other duties as assigned by the Program Director
