Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for most parts of the province, which should be heavily considered if you plan on driving Friday.
The national weather office is calling for 15-30 cm of snow in Grande Prairie and the surrounding areas, as well as Edmonton, Fort McMurray, Grande Cache and Jasper.
Snow is expected to intensify through the morning and will continue throughout the night. The snow is expected to taper off Saturday morning.
Visibility while driving may be reduced at times in heavy snowfall and surfaces like highways, roads, walkways and parking lots.
Travel is not recommended at this time.
