Edmonton Police are investigating after a shooting took place at homeless shelter in North Edmonton.
On Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, at approximately 4:25 p.m., police responded to a reported shooting at a shelter in the area of 123 Avenue and Fort Road.
Upon arrival, police located a male who had been shot.
Close to a dozen Police marked and un-marked cruisers could be seen in the parking lot at 12350 Fort Rd NW, near the intersection of Fort Road and Yellowhead Trail.

The shelter is operated by Niginan Housing Ventures.
EMS responded, treated, and transported the adult male to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
EPS Firearm Investigations Unit continues to investigate.
