One man is facing numerous charges following the recovery of a stolen vehicle near Wetaskiwin.
On Dec. 24, 2024, Wetaskiwin RCMP received a report that a vehicle with on board GPS tracking was stolen and was at a location in Wetaskiwin County.
Mounties obtained a search warrant for the property. Upon arriving to execute the warrant, RCMP located 3 individuals. All three were arrested. A subsequent search revealed both the original stolen Jeep as well as a stolen Dodge truck. RCMP also located an imitation firearm and prepackaged Fentanyl ready for distribution.
RCMP have charged 48-year-old Wetaskiwin resident Darryl Walter Admussen with:
- Trafficking a controlled substance;
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking;
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;
- Possession of property obtained by crime.
Admussen was released from custody with his next court date set for Jan. 30, 2025, in Wetaskiwin.
RCMP have charged 39-year-old Leduc resident Scott Alexander Clendon with, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.
Clendon was released from custody with his next court date set for Jan. 28, 2025 in Wetaskiwin.
The third suspect was released without charges.
