Minor facing charges after weekend stabbing in Fort McMurray

A minor is facing charges following a stabbing at Fort McMurray’s MacDonald Island Park’s weight room.

Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to reports of the attack in progress at around 8:10 p.m. on Saturday night.A 41-year-old man was brought to the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre with non life threatening injuries. The youths name cannot be published under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Charges against the minor will be released once they are sworn in before the court.
