The Alexis Community Christmas Market is set to take place inside the Alexis Community Centre from December 21-22 where shoppers can support local entrepreneurs along with getting their Christmas shopping done.
Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation Chief Tony Alexis spoke with CFWE on what attendees can expect at the Christmas Market, as many vendors within the community will be joined by visiting First Nations on site that will offer different hand-crafted items for sale.
Chief Alexis adds that the Christmas Market allows the opportunity for community members to get a first-hand look at the beadwork, art, and other items that are created by local artisans.
Chief Alexis goes on to say the biggest part of the Christmas Market in the community is the spirit of connecting and supporting one another through the holiday season.
