The Lac La Biche Santa’s Helpers is bringing holiday cheer to those in need with their annual toy and food drive across multiple store locations, in collaboration with the Lac La Biche Firefighters Society and the Lac La Biche Native Friendship Centre, along with Santa Clause coming to town on December 7th.
Natasha Downes, a volunteer with the Lac La Biche Santa’s Helpers spoke with CFWE about their toy and food drive to help community members within Lac La Biche County with Hampers filled with food and toys in time for the holidays.
With donation boxes set up in the Farmers Market and the Bold Centre, on December 7, the Santa Claus is Coming to Town event is taking place at the Bargain Store, with a hot dog fire roast, gift bags, and a photo opportunity with Santa Claus.
Downes speaks on last years distribution numbers of hampers delivered to families in Lac La Biche County, ranging from 80-120 with the help from the Lac La Biche Native Friendship Centre and the charitable donations from the community.
