
Calgary Police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for a former officer who used police resources to contact women for romantic relationships while on duty.
51 year old Brett Singer is now wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breach of trust and misuse of a computer system. The investigation began in 2023 following complaints, Singer was then suspended with pay in January.
During the investigation, Singer was suspended again in September after which he resigned from the CPS. At this time officials believe he left the country after quitting his job.
Calgary Police Service Chief Constable Mark Neufeld spoke to media yesterday surrounding the warrant. He mentioned the urgency and seriousness of the allegations.
