The RCMP and the Mayerthorpe Hockey Association is gearing up to host the second annual Fallen 4 Memorial Game on December 7 inside the Dick Granley Arena.
First responders will be playing against minor hockey coaches, anyone who attends is asked to please bring a donation for the local food bank.
RCMP Constable Tyler Gale spoke with CFWE, saying he’s excited for the event, along with speaking on how the Memorial Game was put together following the approach from the Mayerthrope Minor Hockey Association on putting together the Memorial Game.
Constable Gale says it’s nice to see the community gathering together in support along with not forgetting the four RCMP officers that passed in the line of duty 20 years ago.

Constable Gale is hopeful that attendees use the day as a reminder of the ultimate sacrifice that the four officers made, and to use it as a way to rally together to raise money and food donations for the food bank to keep the tradition and memory of the four officers alive.
