CFB Edmonton honours Aboriginal Veterans

Today marks the celebration of Aboriginal Remembrance Day, celebrated every November 8th since 1994.

Here in Alberta’s capital, at Canadian Forces Base Edmonton, the military salutes our First Nation people’s contribution. Major John-Paul Wright tells CFWE FM, the military as a whole are trying to move forward from the history towards true reconciliation.

In Edmonton tonight, the High Level bridge will be lit up in traditional colours – red, white, yellow and black – in honour of Aboriginal Veterans.
